I just tried this with the current demo tracker and it worked as expected: it didn't split URLs. It sounds like maybe you have something installed locally that is doing the formatting? Either in the HTML template or the mail path, if you're using the mailgw.

Closing as "Works For Me". If we can get a report of it happening on current roundup and a reproduction scenario I can reopen it.
