this patch reflects the changes I've made when i was
trying to customize roundup:
_ a few more information in some raised exception
_ a fix which allow to change the "assignedto"
attribute's type without getting some strange errors.

Note that I think the function I've fixed should go in
a detector. If you are interested, I can try to submit
another patch.

Yeah, some of this stuff should go in as detectors - it's only 
recently been identified as optional code. Maybe in some 
future release.
