I just built a new classic tracker,
(using roundup-admin
install/initialize) and in the html/home file (not the html/home.html
file), it looks like you are missing a comment marker around
the
SHA checksum at the end of the file.

Also why is ther both a
file with the .html extention and one without the .html extention in
the html directory?

ls -l of the newly created classic/html
directory shows:

_generic.help* file.item*
issue.index.html msg.index.html
user.forgotten.html
_generic.help.html file.item.html
issue.item* msg.item* user.index*
_generic.index*
help_controls.js issue.item.html msg.item.html
user.index.html
_generic.index.html home* issue.search*
page* user.item*
_generic.item* home.classlist*
issue.search.html page.html
user.item.html
_generic.item.html home.classlist.html
keyword.item* query.item* user.register*
file.index*
home.html keyword.item.html query.item.html
user.register.html
file.index.html issue.index* msg.index*
style.css* user.rego_progress.html

Did I much
something up in my installation?

The non-"html" files should not exist. I can only assume they're
remnants from an old installation... A fresh CVS checkout doesn't
have them, and neither does the distribution tarball..

As for the home issue - that will go away when the "home.html"
file is used.

FWIW the SHA checksum mentioned is visible on the home
page of the demo tracker at
http://mechanicalcat.net:8080/demo/

I think this is a transitory thing and may be handled on a per-user
basis through roundup-users - the cleanup is easy.
