indexer_rdbms assumes that "some text" (not sure exactly what text…) will be an instance of 
'str', but if it's 'unicode' there's an explosion.

This is a problem for me, because I'm writing code which interacts with the Roundup DB, and it 
deals exclusively with unicode.
