I am amani hamada, master student at applied computer science at VUB university 
in Brussels.
I do my master thesis in tracking area, and roundup is the software which i am 
using as it is really powerful in that scene.
Now i am trying to change the structure of roundup database, as i have to add 
some tables , it is working but there is some question i need to know:
1-IN every table there is a field called"retired" i don't know what is the mean 
and for what?
2-when i added a new table , there is automatically created another table which 
have the name journal with the name of the table that i m made , why?
when i register as a new user , it doesn't work , i can create users from admin 
screen , but not as a anonymous user.

This indicates if the message is "retired".
When a message is in this state it is not longer displayed in an issue's
message list.
This is used to hide unwanted or obsolete messages.
It's a concept of deleting messages without really deleting it from
database. It is just marked as "deleted", if you wish.

Does this mean you are not able to register a new user by clicking the
link in the web-interface?
Are there any error messages displayed or sent as email to tracker admin?

Note that this tracker is for issues about developming roundup itself
(as opposed to developing a solution with roundup which is what
you intend to do).
